+ What is Naturopathic Medicine?

Naturopathic Medicine combines modern science with traditional and natural medicine to get to the root of the disease and stimulate the body's innate ability to heal itself. In other words, we balance and support your body and help give it the right environment for it to thrive. Licensed Naturopathic Doctors (NDs) are formally trained in the medical sciences, educated at a doctorate-level (minimum 4 years post-grad), and are legally primary-care physicians. NDs in British Columbia have a large scope of practice (see My services here), which is strictly regulated by the College of Naturopathic Physicians of British Columbia (CNPBC) And so, Naturopathic Physicians have a variety of tools, using evidence-based medicine to be able to safely and effectively treat the underlying cuases of disease.
